1. Comply with all Emergency Management Standards:
- Provide multifaceted hazard/risk vulnerability and emergency readiness assessments, emergency response plan design and development, rapid alert/emergency communications protocols, and unified incident command, control, and coordination;
- Build a Comprehensive Emergency Management Program centered on Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery, utilizing the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) established by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA);
- Provide the leadership, tools and solutions necessary to meet all elements of performance required by The Joint Commission Emergency Management chapter;
- From design to execution; provide an exercise and evaluation program that effectively tests the organization’s Emergency Operations Plan, ensuring that staff, the facility, and the community are adequately prepared to respond to an emergency event.
2. Comply with all Environment of Care and Life Safety Standards:
- Provide a comprehensive review and audit process of your Environment of Care/Life Safety Program. Our program consists of regularly scheduled, on-site visits that include a review of your organization’s management plans, annual assessments, performance indicators, risk assessment process, committee minutes and activities, drills and exercises, systems testing, and construction related interim life safety and infection control processes and activities. We can also assist in developing the necessary policies, plans and documents required to achieve compliance with standards.
3. Ensure staff has a solid understanding of Emergency Preparedness and Safety Practices and Policies:
- Our Staff Education and Development Program provides a wide range of continuing education and training opportunities for hospital staff and community healthcare partners. Our goal is to be responsive to the educational needs of your staff as well as the greater healthcare community. Our educators possess the combined skills, training and creativity to meet these educational challenges. In addition to classroom-based educational programs, we offer comprehensive and focused Mock Surveys to assist your organization in preparing for a regulatory compliance visit from the Joint Commission and/or other regulatory entity. Our experts will review your programs and processes, and help identify potential opportunities for improvement.

5. Be prepared for any event with a robust Exercise Design, Execution and Evaluation Program:
- From start to finish, our team will design, execute and evaluate your organization’s policies, plans and procedures, facilities, equipment, and staff knowledge and skills; to ensure that the organization can effectively implement its emergency operations plan and procedures. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive and progressive exercise program, one that is made up of progressively complex exercises, where each one builds on the other, until the entire plan has been assessed and validated as effective.
